Season to date (August 25, 1999): After a year with no WC races, Rick came back to the series in 1999 with a vengance, and has made the competition take notice. His pole position at Lime Rock had many wondering just where he had come from. Mechanical troubles led to a frustrating 5th place (but his first top 5 finish in WC) at his home track. Trois Rivieres was not the track for the relatively heavy Saleen Mustang, but he upheld the marque's honor with a hard fought 6th. An early flag to the timed race and some bad luck with yellows worked against him and left him just out the top 5 after tough battle with David Schardt's Toyota Supra..
