Has run the Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio, and Trois-Rivieres races on the 1999 Speedvision GT Championship schedule.

Previously: Began racing in 1987 in a Roush Capri at Bryar in the SCCA GT-1 class. Has been a top performer at the SCCA regional level (13 wins, 18 top-five finishes) en route to GT1 and American Sedan championships (1989 and 1995 respectively). In 1991, won the Enduro 1 race series. Made his World Challenge debut in 1992, racing once. Made one appearance in 1993, recording a sixth at Lime Rock. Made four World Challenge events in 1994. Ran just one World Challenge race in 1995 (Trois-Rivieres), placing ninth. In 1996, finished 21st at Lime Rock. In 1997, entered three World Challenge Championship races, finishing a season-high 13th at Watkins Glen.

Season to date (August 25, 1999): After a year with no WC races, Rick came back to the series in 1999 with a vengance, and has made the competition take notice. His pole position at Lime Rock had many wondering just where he had come from. Mechanical troubles led to a frustrating 5th place (but his first top 5 finish in WC) at his home track. Trois Rivieres was not the track for the relatively heavy Saleen Mustang, but he upheld the marque's honor with a hard fought 6th. An early flag to the timed race and some bad  luck with yellows worked against him and left him just out the top 5 after tough battle with David Schardt's Toyota Supra..

Personal: Born April 10, 1963. Serves as a lead driving instructor at the Skip Barber Racing School.
