Daytona, Pit Lane Report. 9:30am
Minutes ago, in an exclusive phone interview with Ricka Racing News, a confident Rick DiIorio shouted over the Daytona morning pit lane turmoil, and the snarling growl of multi-cylinder engines, "Oh, Yeah! We're right there!" With a solid midfield qualifying position (some 40 cars are behind them), the #34 GT Spencer Pumpelly Racing Porsche GT3R will start 14th among GT competitors. Starting the race will be Rick's fellow Skip Barber Racing School Instructor Spencer Pumpelly. Rick is scheduled to take over for his first stint at 5:00pm.
