5th
place Lime Rock after cooling problems cause Rick problems.
After 26 laps in front of the pack, holding a solid 5 second advantage
over the Corvette of veteran Bondurant instructor Bob Cooper, and fighting
a blistering back and forth battle for the lead with an everpressing
Bobby Archer's Dodge Viper, Rick DiIorio came back from a stalling engine
and the rough landscaping in LRP's Big Bend to pull out a 5th place finish
in Saturday's American Challenge 45 lap event at Rick's home track of Lime
Rock Park.

DNF
at Mid-Ohio
Frustration at Mid-Ohio. Long hours and a 12 hour haul. No practice,
qualify 8th. Conservative start only to drop out at 5th lap. Suspension
failure at end of fastest part of the track fortunately only causes DNF,
no serious damage to car or driver.

Hard
fought 6th at Trois-Rivieres
Heat and tough competition were the story at Three Rivers, Quebec. Qualifying 5th, and conserving his car, Rick ran a consistent and strong race to bring his Saleen to home in one piece against formidable (and well funded) opposition.
Visit our Picture Gallery for some great action and detail shots. Coming up: video captures of the Lime rock race. Good stuff!!!
